Well, the source file plays just fine and doesn't lock up at that scene. There aren't any effects in the scene so I'm lost. And like I said in the thread about being rich, I'm using another music video as the source, making it for my own personal enjoyment. No distribution, so no ripping off. But when it hits that scene, it comes up with that stupid error about how "Windows Movie Maker has caused an error and needs to close, would you like toe send the error information to microsoft?" or something like that.

The "he" I was talking about was my friend who's house I brought the file over. I put it on his WMM and used the exact videos I have and it works fine.

Well, in that case it's probably the way the file was made and the file type (codec/format). I haven't tried taking amvs into XP versus the ME version of wmm, so I don't know what difference there might be between them when it comes to that. But try converting the file - if Virtualdub won'd do it, a google search should turn up other file converters.

little problem. when segmenting a particular .avi file, the video just produces a bunch of squares that scroll back and forth across teh screen. the clip was hellsing 10, and it was compiled by animejunkies. possible problem with the encoding itself? more proof that anime junkies suck? simply redownload from a diferent source?

Argh...

The next person who says "OMGWTF Magix Music Maker must rule because KOOP DID U4EUH WITH IT" is going to get shot.

It doesn't matter WHAT you use. You can do ANYTHING with ANYTHING.
