Pioneer = bye bye

ADV usually does a pretty good job.

The only company I consider pure evil is 4Kids. Even Funimation can hand out a good job now and then. (namely Fruits Basket)

4Kids on the other hand has taken every anime they get and turned it into a disgusting mush of marketability.

I keep on getting Visions of 4kids snagging Naruto.....They can magically cut all the violence out and make it just for 3-10 age group NOOOOOOOL!

im sure who ever dubbed GTO will do Naruto. that or ADV. but on the other hand what about the rest of the seires to Lupin the 3rd being dubbed by Pioneer. yes 4kids does suck why do you think Dragon Ball sucked over here?? cause it was aimed for kids. thats why we have to wait forever for their license to end so we can see some good uncut eps. Lupin would probably go over to Funi because they have the rights as well. there mostly doing the movies though. cause the volumes of Lupin are coming out slowly. and theres over 100 eps of Lupin.

well as i currently understand it, this company cares about making money, and the way they'll mostlikely showit is by lowering prices to boost sales. Pioneer apparantly never cared and left their prices way up there. According to "my source" this change can't possibly be a bad thing. but who knows ... this company could jsut be a bunch of chimps with type writers and totaly fuck everything up.

yea, a point i forgot to make ... me, like many other people on this board don't give a flying fuck about bad dubs since we almost never watch them. The only thing a good dub dose is make it easier for you to introduce newer people to anime. Other then that they serve no real purpose but to be funny every now and then when your bored ... well they do for me.

I love pioneer, they do good stuff but tend to cost a bit more. They make many 24-26 eps series into 8 dvds or less dvds but still cost a small fortune like fushigi yugi. Doesn't pioneer also take part in making some animes? like tenchi? I hope this won't delay tenchi's 3rd ovas o_o

Chobits = 5-4 EPS A DVD!!! 0_0

If anything these guys REALLY give you the money's worth! The newest stuff I'm getting from them seem to be heavy on "more eps per $$$"

Best deal I got was 24 eps for $80. And yes, as far as "story weaving" goes, Virtua Fighter rounds One and Two are STILL the best anime from fighting game DVDs EVAR... [the dub is uber fantastic that I thought they'd charge more!]

[when the dub makes the sub look bad you KNOW something's going right ^_^]

well they have a few exceptions, chobits is 4 each btw and theres 24+2 repeat eps, but theres 7 dvds o_O they might be making the 7th a special edition one, with the repeat episodes and hopefully chibits xD

but I mean look at their other stuff

Trigun, Tenchi Universe, BAV, gatekeepers 26=8 dvds X is only 24 and is 8
Then theres 4 dvd fushigis sets that cost 200
Hellsing, Lain, dual, soul taker, nasca, strawberry eggs, black heaven, 13=4
Sol bianca, nanako is like 6=3
CCS is like 70=18 dvds
