My parents HATE! anime and anything that resembles anime. I don't mind that but it gets annoying when they like give me lectures about how anime is of the devil and such. that doesn't stop me though.

Well my mom doesn't mind me watching it, considering I don't live with them anymore, and I won't bug her about it, she buys me some DVDs for birthday or Christmas presents.

My Dad, I think he wouldn't mind seeing some, though he would never admit it, I caught him standing behind me when I was at home on leave watching Patlabor. And I did get him hooked on the music from Cowboy Bebop.

I don't mind if parents watch or don't watch, after I saw some of the parents at Otakon, I realize that some parents support their children's interest. Good on them

I was watching anime with my dad before either of us really knew what it was (gotta love Castle of Cagliostro go Lupin!). Since then I've really got into it and my dad just watches series that I think he'd like. Except for perfect blue... I taped it and then was away for most of the next day, he was bored so he watched it (he already knew about the rape scene and so did I) he didn't think much of it and told me I probably wouldn't like it and whatdya know, he was right.

My mother is probably the only one in the family who really doesn't understand what this anime thing is all about but I have managed to get her to watch Record of the Lodoss war and she did enjoy that.

So basically I let my parents watch stuff I think they will enjoy. They've never censored my watching habits and I'm too old for that sort of thing now. Mind you I'm not big on horror so most of the stuff I watch many parents wouldn't object to.

What I do dislike is people hovering over my shoulder when I'm watching anime or reading or anything really... it just makes me uncomfortable.

girl i'm friends with tried to watch it aswell, I think she likes me and wanted something we can sharing knowing all to well I pay more attention to anime than her..

My girlfriend says she will, but both me and her seem more inclined to pay attention to one another...

My parents don't really care, but it's embarresing of how they talk of it, especially my mom, she calls it 'the japanese animation.' which would be politically correct, but I don't under stand why she can't just say anime... or better yet animé than animee ¬¬....

"the japanese animation" ahh yes my mom calls it the same thing and it kind of pisses me off, but what really pisses me off is that when my gramndma sends me money for some unknown reason(i'm not complaining) my dad won't let me spend any of it on anime, manga, or even video games, i mean it's MY money so WTF man!

seriously i wouldn't care if it was only a few bucks but it's usually like a hundred, my dad must have no idea how much anime i could buy with that much.

Some how I don't think they would brave the drive just to come see anime. I personally think they don't give a shit. And why the hell would they?
