No they don't. Infact i almsot always only watch anime when i'm at home alone. why? I can't stand it when i'm criticized by them for anything, plus my mother thinks all anime is porn, as dose my father ... why? A few years ago wings of honnemease (sp?) was on tv and there was the attempted rape scene ... not ever 35 seconds of nudity in a movie that was about 2 hours long and because it was animates all animation from japan is porn according to mu mother ... my father still calls them soap's, i'll have to start calling star treck a soap too, to try and get him to understand that theres more then one gener ... and my sisters an arrogant, ignorant bitch id much rather have teeth pulled then watch anything with her. But yea, it's my fault and not theres ... i just don't like people i have to be around too much.

I hate how they think they know you, just because they're around a lot.

My parents don't have a clue what goes on in my head.

My friends that I'm around all the time watch and listen to me, to make sure they know what's going on, but my parents just fucking assume they know everything and it's hella annoying.

Try? I FORCE them to watch it. Them and my siblings, and my roommate, and guests at our house.

Actually, my mom has seen part of DBZ (my little sister is a huge fan of DB/DBZ/DBGT, and begs my mom for the dvd's when they come out).
I recently showed her part of Cowboy Bebop, which she kinda liked, and Now and Then; Here and There, which she really liked.

My dad saw me watching Gundam Wing once, but didn't pay much attention to it. Anything anime I try desperately to hide from him.

There's no way I'd ever show either of my parents Eva.

god that sucks ... my parents actualy know far less about me then i thought they did and it's both cool and it sucks...

As for knowing whats going on in my head ... theres times that i dont even know, or want to know whats going on in my head.

<SIGH> the benifits of being able to see your friends out side of school ... ell this year it was particularly bad since i was always working ad i never got to get together with my friends ... i've been promising one frined of mine that i'd be going over to his house on the weekend for almsot a month and i keep getting my plans pissed on ... it sucks. I need a life.

Thats kinda why I only watch anime when I'm alone, although my parents don't even know I watch anime (I have all my DVDs on my lower shelf but they haven't noticed because they're not at eye level :/ ).

I'm sure they wouldn't care but hey, you never could 100% predict someones reaction. I'm especially wary ever since my sister noticed I like anime though, she likes to call it by the infamous 'Japanese cartoons'.
She once walked in while I was playing VicBond's In The End and she started laughing, I asked her why and she said it was the weird looking cartoon people

Although that time she pronounced Cowboy Bebop as "Cowboy Beaboop" was priceless.

Well me and my friends are all really into music, so we go to concerts and stuff. I work a lot of promotion for record labels and bands, and I also work media. So I'm technicaly working when i'm at a show enjoying myself with my friends. Which is bad ass. So I'll always see them around.

well being a parent, I like to know what my kids watch. and i know that my parents just didn't give a darn when i was growing up. I tried to get my kids interested in anime just so that I have someone to watch with. worked kinda. *Ack the evil spend time with the parent thing*
Not all of us are the "evil parents" we just want to know our kids Or at least try to know them "good parents". If you don't get along with them now or at least come to an understanding you'll regret it later. I know my kids sometimes hate it when i watch anime with them. but thats because they like diferent kinds than i do.

P.s. Try sitting your parents down and talk to them about your likes and dislikes and thiers. can't hurt anything just agree to disagree.

My parents have no interest in anime...and i like doing other stuff with my parents rather than watching the tube with them...
