Dreams that may or may not come true.

Post by angelx03 » Thu Aug 28, 2003 10:02 am

I don't know this is the right section to talk about this so here it goes anyway.

In the future:

- Network TV like ABC, NBC, and FOX show anime series like Evangelion, X, and Noir.

- MTV hires you AMV creators to do an AMV. They'll take care of the licenses of the anime and the music for you (which makes it LEGAL).

- The ENTIRE series of Cardcaptor Sakura gets dubbed by Bang Zoom! Entertainment.

- ALL background music of ANY anime series/movies like Yu-Gi-Oh! gets RETAINED.

- The voice actors actually become well known in this entire country.

- New animated Disney movies gets drawn by Madhouse.

Anything else you guys want to add?

-The Anime Network is still coming nationwide....hang in there
-AMV's are really only known in certain circles....but I wont say their isnt any hope
-No
-Yea....it's possible but you know when most music is changed in anime it's due to copyright frim japan and not the Dubbers choice
-Thats up to the companies who put them on Tv and anime network ofcourse
-Nothing wrong with Disneys style...their work is beautiful...now whats inside it is most of the time bleh...but I grew out of Dis from my younger years
-A gaming anime label will surface and license and make anime titles for the US

There's good series being made in Japan and just about everything is available and affordable in North America after a short wait. Everything is better than I could have ever hoped for just 10 years ago. It's already the Golden Age.

-AMV's are voted and the best are run on cable, like MTV or CN... and the AMV author is mentioned and awarded?

I become king of the world, but that won't happen either, so we can all keep dreaming.

My dream:

The maximum price for US licensed anime is set at $5 per episode. This would not effect the price for movies, but it would eliminate those $30 dvds with only 3 episodes on them. And make a 70+ episode anime more than just a dream of owning.

[And yes, some dvds are priced much better already, but some sort of standard would keep the market from getting ridiculous as the demands for anime increase.]

My hope is that Shinichiro Watanabe comes up and does a prequel to Cowboy Bebop detailing Spike's time in the Red Dragons. There's just so much I want to know about that portion of his life....

They start releasing some decent manga in my country and it's readily available. And that Madman decides to buy the distribution licensces to all my favourite animes that aren't here. Especially old ones like Escaflowne.

That's not asking for much is it?
