Me too, my birthday is also February, I got sucked into Fruits Basket by a friend of mine. At first I thought it was a little silly, but it really sucked me in especially the last few eps..... Damn they need to make more, so many questions I still have.... just when it was getting really good.... they ended it. I look forward to the manga release maybe it will go into more of the story.Amaranth wrote:I am psyched! I've been waiting for Fruits Basket forever! And my birthday is in February! "Light in the absence of eyes illuminates nothing. Visible forms are not inherent in the world but are granted by the act of seeing. Events contain no meaning in themselves only the meaning that the mind imposes on them...yet the world endures,...whether or not the mind exists..."

thats exactly what i told you, that it IS way more detailed...truth is the end of the series never happens in the manga at all...from what i hear that is. I've never read the manga...obviously but yeah ive seen the show. So dont expect so much info on the whole...Kyo thing in the manga and what not, but they will probably get more into the curse and such.

I haven't read a lot of the manga, only a couple volumes that went past the ending of the anime, so I don't know how faithful they were to the manga.
I do know that the anime is beautiful, faithful or not. Daichi (the direction) is a romantic comedy genius. He also did Kodomo no Omocha and Jubei-chan the Ninja Girl. Furuba is one of his most beautifully crafted pieces.

I have all of the manga scanlations that the Furuba Project did. I personally found the anime to be a little more dull than the anime... but who knows, maybe it'll get better in later volumes. I'll probably buy it.. or at least read it at Borders
