Microsoft does it AGAIN! another stupid mistake...

I'm running the Blaster patch on Windows .NET Gundam and this is what is says:

" The version of Windows you have installed does not match the update you are trying to install "

OR

" Setup has detected that you are running a version of Windows other than the intended version of this update. This patch is intended for Build 3790 only" (Not exact)

I've searched on Non-Google for information on changing the build number, running the exe with a different build response, etc. I did not find anything within the forst 5 pages... not good. I also tried using the command prompt /? to discover any bypass arguments and I also used Resource Hacker.

The goal? I want to install this patch dammit!
The problem? MICROSOFT not including Build 3718 in the allowed builds list.
The solution? It's going to be M*c if it's not fixed...

Sorry if I seem a bit disturbed by this... iI don't usually put this much emotion into my posts, but it's ALMOST MIDNIGHT and I have IT ISSUES! I now know the frutration of thepeople who put on free overtime to fix the voicemail system... absolutely ridiculous.

Repeat, it is 22:44. I have not had any sleep for the last few days. My computer sucks.

Then it's confirmed.
I've touched three macs in my life, and crashed two of them. I did not run more than a single program at a time on each case.

I possess the mutant power to make any mac I get my hands on crash.

I've crashed a few macs in my heyday. Its not all that difficult, especally if you dont know anything about them.

What makes a Mac more stable on average than a PC is that there is but one company making Macs, while everyone and their brother makes a PC. Stability, however, is no more inherent in the design of a Mac than in a PC. Dell and Apple are at parity with the reliability of their machines. You have some PC manufactures such as Boxx that actually surpasses both, and I know a couple system builders that consistantly build some of the most stable systems I've ever used.

If you buy from a good OEM or if you really do your homework on parts and know what you're doing you will get a stable system. Apple is but one of the good OEMs, not the be-all-end-all.
