Your first anime...[that you bought]

Are you not glad that your friend made you. Now you are ore open minded. Well I first got hooked on Robotech (odd speaking I am a girl, but so have a twin brother.) when I was really little. Then it went off the tv, did not have cable then so you know. Then a few years later when we got cable I say Sailormoon and got hooked. Now I watch and read all sorts of stuff. And I have a tendensy to get my friends hooked on stuff. Lots of my friends thought that anie and manga was wierd till I got them hooked or my good friend did. Soooooo...you get the picture. Anywho, this all works for me. ^-^

Oh by the way, you guys are all off topic. If you look at my post at the beggining of the thread i asked what was the first anime you bought, not the first anime you watched.

Then I stopped watching them until a friend introduced me to Pokemon. Sike. I watched NGE, and that's what really made me a fan, because that series doesn't talk down to it's audience, and I can respect that.

I hate DBZ because it's a show written for four year olds, and people my age (read: old) think it's the best thing since multiple orgazams.

The 1st animes i bought were Gundam Wing:Endless Waltz SE and Escaflowne:The Movie at the same time on Amazon.

Covering all bases now:

First anime I watched - Unico (...what?!?)
First anime I watched knowing that it was anime - Gundam Wing
First anime I purchased on VHS - N/A (I didn't start collecting until just recently, most of what I have on tape was recorded off of CN)
First anime I purchased on DVD - Gundam: Char's Counterattack (thus turning me into the shameless nonsexual Gundam whore you see today...well, OK, it wasn't overnight, but this was one of the first major steps)

the first Animes i BOUGHT were all 3 IRIA VHS's and Armitage III dual matrix i bought them on the same day so ynow back when i wasl ike either 11 or 12 i dont remember
