has several names in the anime, I just want two of them.
The professor at the start calls him Frank. Hattie calls him Yosei-kun [Mr. Fairy or Mr. Elf, depending on whether you watched the fansub or the munged official translation].

I'll wait a bit for confirmation while thinking of a question.

Ok, it's been a while, so I'll post up. If I didn't give two correct names, feel free to disregard this question.

I don't think many people would appreciate a Virtua Fighter or Ninku TV question, so I'll pop one from an anime that's actually been fansubbed: the good old perennially underexposed Mahoujin Guru Guru.

It comes to pass that Nike and Kukuri discover that the castle of the King of Koudai has a giant evil magic circle down in the basement. The question: WHY did the king build the castle over the magic circle, and put his throne directly above its center?

If this is too hard, and you actually know Virtua Fighter, you can instead name the fighting style that the Bryants use. If neither of these questions is answered within 24 hours, they'll be replaced. That might give me enough time to come up with another question.

It was to cure his haemorrhoids, an occupational hazard for throne-bound kings.

Too bad for you I watched this episode just last week :P

Absolutely correct Kai

(and for those who care I also would have accepted "Extra-1" which was his miltary classification or *spoilers Yuri Leonov spoilers*) I didn't know the translation was "Elf".. "Fairy" seems to make more sense to me it could just be that I'm attached to the verison I saw, but elite-fansubs normally does a pretty good job.

Anyway Kai's current question

Or rather, mine

And I agree, Kai, Guru guru is underwatched. Great, fun little show. Anyway, I digress:

In the OVA series Read or Die, the seven members 'I-jin' that threaten the world are all clones of historical, literary or mythical figures. Name them all. If noone gets this after a while, then I'll accept anyone who can give me 5.

It isn't; 'yosei' is getting translated as 'elf' a lot in official releases these days, probably because the translators don't want the audience sniggering and going "heheh, fairy. Dude, they said fairy" at serious moments. I forget which other releases I've seen this in, so I don't know if it's just an ADV thing about avoiding stuff that could be misinterpreted as homosexual references, but it's cropped up in at least one other title.

(hoping this is still ontopic)

let's try this...

I can name 5, so even if this is of help to the others -

Hiraga Gennai (the electirc guy, Japanese inventor),Henri Farbre (Insect man, an insect researcher in history), Otto Lilienthal (Flying guy/German flight experimentalist), Genjo Sanzo (you know him...), Ludwig von Beethoven (him too)

But the remaining two slightly confuse me.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

That's supposed to be Jean-Henri Fabre, but I'll give it you.

And yeah, those are the five easy ones :P The other two are supposed to be hard.
