Ah, don't worry. It only *seems* like no one is watching them because people on here think they shouldn't watch them. They go with the 'dbz is overdone, all dbz are bad - lp is overdone, all lp are bad' theme. But that's just the public opinion on this forum. The people visiting the site to get vids still watch them and they must enjoy them if they keep downloading the masses with the hopes of getting those diamonds. ^_^

Just don't be too open when you admit you watch them - you'll be going against the flow around here. You wouldn't want to be considered one of the 'uneducated' viewers. ^_~

Ah, but then...I've seen dozens of horrible VHD vids, and lots of horrid Trigun and Bebop vids. And you never see threads condemning them to death, now do you. ^_^ The ratio of well-edited vids to poorly edited is very small. The fact that so many people love dbz just makes it even smaller since more vids = more poorly edited in comparison to the number of well edited ones. It's the same for any popular anime. DBZ gets the limelight because it's been around longer, so the collection is bigger than the ones for other anime. It can't be helped.

Thats True but then theres the part that alot of those series are only on dvd vhs or download*witchis wrong* DBZ is on tv in england , statses , canada , so almost everyones atleast seen the series that and ppl always make action ones*not saying there bad and not saying all of them are* just a majority , but in the end i do agree withyou though!

No, I'd agree that part of the problem is action vids. Dbz really lends itself to action - just getting footage of one fight is enough to fill a vid with great timing and rhythm (depending on the editor). But for the story vids...it's a very long series, and you'd have to get a wide variety of clips spread out in between the action sequences before you can have a good slow vid to the anime. That's why many of the slower vids have poor quality - it's a lot of dvds to buy to get that 2 minutes of footage from this episode, 30 seconds from that one, etc.

But again, that's the same problem we have with YYH - the footage is limited so you either have the evil unethical downloaded scenes which are the same 15 or so fights that roam around the net, or you have story vids for the same beginning episodes. The series is too long, and you'd have to get small clips from far too many sources to make it work. I'm guessing action is going to be very big once yyh gets going - not as bad as dbz since it isn't as hardcore male oriented (and the majority of amv makers are male), but pretty close.

They're just action oriented anime with the drama and slower moments spread out few and far between. It's the same cliche's you have with any popular anime. Just look at the Love Hina vids. You have two genres for that anime, slapstick humor and sappy/cutsy romance.

Love HIna Is Like DBZ guy gets hit guy likes girl they get together in the end , its just the anime that u used , and dbz using all episodes wouldnt be that hard because if u look at amv with 20 different animes dbz u wouldnt need every episoder , if u were going to avoid action the whole freiza saga is gone , but it would be really hard. So in the end thats the right explination*what u said before* Just Love hina doesnt go with linkin park that well and linkin park is a very popular band in are sociaty that makes a hug difference to he anime it goes with*in the end - DBZ perfect match over used thats all*

Heh, back when I first saw YYH I thought it would be a great match for Linkin Park songs. I still wish people weren't so noisy about 'no one likes lp vids' - it makes the YYH/LP combination rare. But still, they have some nice 'action-prone' songs that do fit great with dbz and yyh - or any angsty action-prone anime when done well. ^_^

its too bad that people overuse certain anime, because if someone makes a good video, then no one will download it. Oh well...
