I agree. But since most people think their videos are the "bizom" you can't help but to have a crapload of bad videos (including mine), I sometimes wonder if people actaully watch their videos, or just make them and throw them out therebilly_wires wrote:its too bad that people overuse certain anime, because if someone makes a good video, then no one will download it. Oh well...

It isn't that I don't like LP vids, I just don't like LP
It isn't that I don't like DBZ vids, I don't care for DBZ
And uh... both are a little overused.
That said, gimme something that presents the LP/DBZ idea in a new way, and I'll be sold. Just because I don't like either of the components, doesn't mean I can't like the final result of the editor's work.
Sadly, practical evidence shows that there's simply nothing new or interesting left for LBZ, which is why I hope it lies down...
On the other hand - there are new bandwagons that emerge all the time, so no need to get frustrated over the downturn of the ol' reliable LBZ. It may go away, but the common bandwagons never will.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

The concept of having a good anime and a good song go together is over used, not the Anime or the Band itself. Why do you think people use it so much, because it's the best right now. The most populare Anime and the most populare song or band, nice combination and when you stick them together, you get a shit load of horrible, bad, good, great, Exilent videos that people get tired of over time. It's the cliche of AMV editing, I'm afraid. You can't stop it. It will happen to another Anime, another song, another band. It's just a matter of time. DBZ and L/P are the top dogs of the amatures here in the AMV Business. All we can hope for is those few out their to create original ideas that will evetually will turn into trends. I mean you get a guy that come ups with a really unique and cool idea to put into their videos, and you have about a thoudsand or so going to steal that idea and use it in their video, or you have someone that created a bad or good video and you say, I can make it better, it's just human nature, I'm afraid. I would say for the few fortunate to rise above all this trendy stuff, to continue to think of new great Ideas, with other unknown to the gengeral public Animes and song to make them famous and then become overlyused. It's the circle of AMV's, that's all. Ok, I'm done.

I highly disagree with this ignorant statement. There is an ass-ton of good music out there that no one uses for AMVs.lordsteal wrote:The concept of having a good anime and a good song go together is over used, not the Anime or the Band itself. Popular != good
That's what companies like AOL-TimeWarner brainwash you into thinking through fancy advertising and derivative music. By your definition, since Britney Spears is popular, that must make her a musical genius.
Same goes for anime. Just because Love Hina or DBZ is popular doesn't mean it's good. It means it's good to some people. I think throwing around statements to back-up something that is a personal preference is pointless.
People have different tastes whether it be in anime, music or AMVs. By no means does it correlate to "good" or "bad" based on this popularity.

Exactly. Thank God!Night-Crawler wrote:I dont think it matters if u dont want to watch them , then dont
I've been saying that for awhile. It's not like Phade is forcing you to watch bad videos or anything.

The best effects are the ones you don't notice.
