codec

anyone know any good codec that will give me smooth, clean video after compression? please post the link, if possible

im sorry for not mentioning this but i needs codecs that will give an output of *.avi, *.mpegs

MPEG does not have "codecs".
For AVI, most people use Divx, or Xvid.
