Nope, it started in 1999. This is year 5.

Hmm, you know what? I can't count. I knew this was the 5th year, but Kusoyaro still didn't start going until he moved up here (in 2001) so he STILL missed 2 years!

Question (that the website doesn't quite answer):

Are parodies considered part of the "comedy" section of the contest? I have something I'd definitely submit as competition, but then something else I'd only submit if I knew "parodies" / "commercials" were part of their own, separate, non-competing showing...

Yes, parodies would fall under the comedy section. So you're interested in submitting a non-competing video as well?

Nah. I was just gonna send it ("Obligatory EVA Trailer") if there was a separate showing of just parodies / trailers. No biggie. Got another one that hasn't been sent anywhere to send ^^.
