As a matter of fact, I think I will go finish it right now...Some people say that this is the best anime ever. And I am starting to believe them.

Hey, I'm a late bloomer...
Not too long ago, I found out I was one of the two people on the web who haven't seen Evangelion (the other being my brother, Brolly345) so I recently started watching it. WOW! The first thought that went through my head as I got into it was

Just a warning: the ending will take you awhile to figure out. Enjoy!billy_wires wrote:Not too long ago, I found out I was one of the two people on the web who haven't seen Evangelion (the other being my brother, Brolly345) so I recently started watching it. best anime show ever- no
was it controversial and an important keystone in anime when it came out- yes
a quite good show- yes
ending of the show a mind-fuck- yes
a must-see for anime fans- yes
You must see the movie (End of Eva) after watching the show for any real closure, although the movie's ending is a little ambiguous as well. Don't bother with Death & Rebirth- it contains a recap of the series then the first part of End of Eva. End of Eva contains all the new material you'll want to see.
Personally I enjoyed it and thought it was great, but could have been much better. I won't spoil anything but Shinji's character development is shaky. He seems to grow consistently as a person for awhile then things fall apart. You'll hate him by the end of the show.

Hey,
I've also only seen the first two eps at a friends house. One thing that sprung to my mind was that scene in ep 2 when he jumps out of the bathroom when penpen startles him and that little sign with the word toothpick comes up. I couldn't quite descide if it was talking about the little jar, or Shinji which was right behind it.
