almost exactly similar? Dude, I didn't even finish reading your post for that.ArmNosefoot wrote:The 'new-school' TMNT is actually fairly similar to the truly old-school TMNT. The first episode was a near copy of the very first comic. Even some of the angles were almost exactly the same. It would've been nice if they had been able to include Splinter's origin though, which I don't think they did.
Personally, I'm quite pleased with what I've seen of the new show, but I keep forgetting to watch it. (Get up before noon on Saturday? NEVER!) The old show was great, though. It's been years since I've seen it.
We all know each turtle has their own weapon and own bandana color, well, in the new series, they eahc have their owns et of agressive wheels, WTF? Exact my ass.
one of them has skates, one of them has a razer, one of them has a skate board, and one of them has a bmx nike, right?
Exact MY ASS.

Have to go with old school TMNT. You have to love Mikey's california surfer accent even though they're from NY. I remember Bebop and Rocksteady were the mutant henchmen and Vernon and I think her name was Verna were April's assistants or something to that effect. Hell, I loved that show. The new doesn't even compare.

Okay, maybe I was a bit zealous in my statements, but the point still stands that the first episode practically directly ripped a few scenes from the from the first comic. And I was referring ONLY to the first episode. Heck, I only saw the first 4 or 5, which, I might add, was before they got the 'rad wheels' (as I didn't know about them until now, aside from the bike). It's been a long time I've either seen or read TMNT, so my memory is probably kinda muddled.

Well, hey, they've gotta have their massive marketing oppurtunities.Jace Tsunami wrote:no ,thw wheels are only effective to this series, and they're in EVERY episode
But really, I didn't see most of them in the first few episodes. The 'tank' cannot compare the good-old Party Bus, though. It's starting to look like a good thing that I didn't watch past the first 4 episodes.
