Thundercats? :?
You've never heard of Thundercats?

For shame.

J-0080.
No. I've heard of Thundercats. I'm just surprised that it's considered an anime.
The only thing I ever considered it as was an old repetitive cartoon with bad voice acting.

Try watching it again now and you'll find that, somehow, the voice acting has gotten worse.
Thats what I ment. When I was little I didn't find it all that bad, but last summer when they were showing it again I couldn't believe how much worse it seemed.

I think good dubs have spoiled me.

It's just the fact that we're grown up and expect sophisticated results.
I suppose.

I think I'm in the rarity of people who could care less whether something is subbed or dubbed most the time. I mean I've watched every Slayers thing that was released over here dubbed and yet it didn't feel awkward at all watching Slayers Gorgeous fansubbed. On the other hand I saw the first two tapes of Zenki subtitled, then when I later got the DVDs of the entire first season I couldn't watch it dubbed. I know that dubs have a tendency to bastardize one of the character's voices... but to have it happen to the main character? No that's bad.

Anyhow Dubs that I thought were partictularly good were Slayers(Not the stuff by ADV... their Lina VA sounds too squeeky), Giant Robo, and Yu Yu Hakusho(TV).

FLCL-one of the best I've heard

Cowboy Bebop- Great

Hellsing- Great, the British Acents fit nicely

Kenshin- I acually like this dub, the voices for the series I though fit pretty well. They could have kept Kenshins oro though.

Chobits- good

Ai Yori Aoshi- good

Yu YU Hakusho- good

Hand Maid May- voices really fit

Full Metal Panic- good

Eva- I didn't care for it, but I thought It was ok. One of the only shows were a characters voice annoyed me in both the dub and sub.

Slayers- only saw the first four eps. but I think its ok

Excel Saga- good

Hack Sign- good

Trigun- Good

The Miyazaki movies have really good dubs. Maybe that's cause the voice actors are real actors.

Princess Mononoke is the best of the batch. Claire Danes, Minnie Driver, Billy Bob Thorton, Gillian Anderson, Jada Pinkett Smith, they were all fabulous.
Reality is for people who lack imagination.
