He's probably right, although I haven't seen the anime in question, so I don't know what the scenes are like.

I guess if you're chained up and whathaveyou, you don't have many other methods of offing yourself to avoid betraying info. I mean, think about it. O_o

I think you'd have to bite it off, or nearly, though. My sister bit probably halfway through her tongue when she was a kid, and (well, obviously) survived.

The only way you're going to bleed to death from biting your tongue is by 1) biting darn near clean through it, and 2) doing nothing to stave the bleeding.

The 1st one can happen. The 2nd... you're either suicidal, or stupid.

yea that happens every now and then ... it sucks ... it sucks more when you feel/hear that crunch after being kicked in the face ...

...main artery, I guess you mean - I guess not. And not me, since I was, you know, five or six years old, but somebody did.

My point is, you'd have to bite really freaking hard to kill yourself that way, but if you have no other alternative as a captive, it'll do the job.

If u had haemophilia then u wouldnt have 2 slice thru ur tongue 2 bleed 2 death(or at least i think its haemophilia).

necro post well anyway were not suicidale at least im not we were just discusing what would happen if someone did bite there tung off.
