Opinion Request: Lincon Park and X-Men. Nuff Said.

Hi, I'm new

I put up my 6 videos yesterday. My newest one is titled "It's Going Down X-Men" It uses the song "It's going down" by Lincon Park and the X-ecutioners (A.K.A. the X-Men) , and is staring the cast of X-Men evolution.

I am requesting opinions for this latest work.

I believe having your vids up on local is against the rules, being that it is not anime....

i think someone already complained about this.

Oh really!!

I looked and looked but I didn't see anything regarding what kinds of medium could be posted. It's not my intention to break the rules, but this is all I could find regarding posting

2 The video has been completed

When I first got here I searched for the rules and guides on how to use this site. But I didn't find much. Even the FAQ is skimpy. I figured since I see lots of cartoon videos and live action videos (DVD movie rips) that it was O.K. I apologize if I was wrong, but what we are allowed to post and upload really needs to be stated more clearly. Probably in a section called "Rules".


I do have alot of questions that I will be posting in the other forums.

All that aside, I didn't mean for this thread to be about rules. If someone please take a look at my MV and offer some advice and opinions I would really apreciate it. Thanks!

when you first enter your video it says what you can and can not upload. and there is a long list right after it. cant miss it. just make sure you read the whole page next time. hope that helps some.

I'm sorry if I offended anyone by uploading my videos. I will write the administration and ask them to look at them and tell me whether or not I have broken a rule and if so to have them removed. I'm getting tons more hits from direct download so it's not that big a deal to me. I would like my videos to be immortal on AMV, but if they say no then, oh well.

Also, I just want to point out that I’ve already read all the afore mentioned material, and there is nothing mentioning cartoons. The only thing even regarding that is:

"Uploaded videos should only be anime music videos."

However a lot of people consider all cartoons to be anime, and I thought that the spirit of this site was about cartoon videos with an emphasis on the Anime Genre. It doesn't explicitly say no cartoons anywhere on the site, and there are many already on the server, therefore as I said before, I thought it was O.K.

But I understand that some hard core anime fans may feel threatened by having "mere cartoons" mixed in with their works of art, so if indeed I've broken some sort of unstated rule (as decided by the administration) then I will both request that my videos be removed, and that the rule be stated more explicitly, because it took me quite some time to upload my six 50MB videos, and to only then find out they aren't welcome isn't pleasant.

Also, I have a suggestion. If non-anime is not welcome, then perhaps the server shouldn't allow a video checked "Non-Anime" to be uploaded. That shouldn't be too hard to do.

Another question. Are there also anime video games? There are alot of games here which are alowed. Are there "Anime" and "Non-Anime" video games?

P.S. I bet you guys never even looked at the videos in question. Please do, pretty please!! The whole point of starting this thread was to beg for opinions.

I am going to give them my own opinions as soon as I work out a standard rating system to use (I don't like the one posted because it's not technical enough). If my opinion is the only one there, then some of my cartoon videos may appear in the top 10%. LOL So please add your honest opinion along side my own. And please don't score me lower just because you don't like non-anime videos.

Well the spirit of the site is music videos in general, all fanmade (and some professionally made for those who are willing to go how and find them goodies). But be warned...putting anime on the same context as cartoons on this site may get you killed by otaku, and then lead a heated forum topic on whether anime is cartoons and whether your death was valid . Anime and Anime style game footage ( FF7,Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Xenosaga, games that had anime artists do the designs "Nobuteru Yuuki w00t!!") are only allowed to be uploaded.

There is nothing on the restrictions against American animation music videos, and frankly, I would be slightly offended if there was. The rule is against LIVE ACTION videos and home movies. Quit riding this guy and learn your rules before ripping someone to shreds over a rule that doesn't exist..
