i have acid pro, but i have no idea as to how to use it, so i basically just fuck around with fruity loops when i get bored. Im a guitarist, so the only real reason i use either of them is to get some ear practice in.

You need to listen to some of the stuff from Subconscious Studios.
Download's The Eyes of Stanley Pain manages to avoid any formulas.
