I thought the problem was keyframed source with inter-frame compression >_> You can't have non-keyframed video, can you? There has to be a starting point.

Huffy has everyframe as a keyframe, while other stuff uses keyframes every Min x/Max y frames. That's part of why huffy files are so large.

The problem is that, unless your clips <i>start</i> on keyframes, you're going to have problems editing with them. I made that mistake once, for a video that's no longer downloadable anywhere because it was just that bad and pointless. In my case, I got ugly green and blue all over the place until the next keyframe showed up.

So don't use DivX for your source. Use something like HuffYUV or uncompressed RGB, so that <i>every</i> frame will be a keyframe.
