I'm seein plot holes the size of Tripoli here. You say you knew her before she was even on the .org and yet you can't even remember what her handle was? Beyond that, what country exactly was this that she tried to leave and got killed? Granted there are some not so nice places in the world, but when you factor in the fact that she has Inet access (which is quite expessive in most places over seas, mostly cause of bandwidth on the transatlantic lines). Also when you consider the fact that she could speak English fluently, well, it just seems unlikely that she was living in some place like Iraq or Afghanistan where they usually don't bother to educate women nor do they have Internet access at every other street corner. And if she was living in one of those countries, well she'd probably most likely be quite wealthy, in which case leaving/defecting wouldn't take much effort.

What's her AIM handle? If you give me that I should be able to find out specifically which part of the world they're chatting from (10 to 1 says it's the US).

On the whole, this has troll written all over it, and since there are some who consider me to be the best troll ever on Usenet, well I think I would know. As to whether you're a part of it, or just a hapless victim, I don't know, nor do I care. If you are a victim, I'd say you need to realize no one is handing out awards for credulity. And if you're the troll, I'd say you need to work on yer act, it's got more holes than the ICQ protocol, and nobody in their right mind is buying into it.
