Is that the "serious" sonic show that was on saturday mornings?
I remember there being two diffrent sonic shows, one was kinda lame and extra cartoony, and the other was this one I think. :?

J-0080, You suck. And you didn't make a post about it. So there. =p

KillDieMurder: The "serious" Sonic Cartoon is referenced to as SatAM, and is conviently called "The Adventues of Sonic the Hedgehog" :?. Anyway, this follows the plot of the Archie Sonic Comics, and isn't anime.
The "extra cartoony" Sonic cartoon is also called "The Adventured of Sonic the Hedgehog", and was also made in the US. In other words, you probably haven't seen a single episode of Sonic Underground.

Sonic Underground was released to Euroupe, US, and Canada. I'm pretty confident that Japan made it, but I couldn't tell you for sure. SU is an alternate universe sort of thing. There's Mobius, Sonic, and Robotnik. But no Tails. Knuckles makes a guest appearance in the show, and it stars Sonic as a triplet. His siblings being Manic(green) and Sonia(pink). Queen Athena(their mom) abandoned them because a Seer warned her of a deadly fate.(no pun intended if you've heard the theme song).
So SU is about the triplets trying to find their mom. There's a song for every episode, because the triplets also have their own band. They also went pretty sfx-heavy on the music video parts, which is kinda corny, but original and I still like it.

Al in all, SU is kind of a blend between SatAM and AoStH, category-wise. There's serious plot and character building, but there's also a lot of comic michief. =p

However, if you're going to buy the DVD make sure you know what you're getting into, first. There's only 3 eps per DVD and 40 eps for the series. To get familiar with SU, I suggest going to this site. It's no longer updated, but it has screen shots, audio clips, and a summary of each episode. It's the best(most complete and informative) SU site I've come across.

After looking over some screenshots I can safely say that I have not seen any of this. I might just have to check it out. Thx for the info SQ. :D

Nope, not made in Japan. Ben Hurst doesn't sound japanese to me. The only Sonic animation from Japan is the animated OP/ED for Sonic CD, the Sonic movie oav, and Sonic X. SU was a US/Canada deal. If you're ever curious about a title go to IMDB. It'll be your best friend.

SU : http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0230804/
Sonic Underground was one I wasn't fond of. The old serious Sonic was the only american one that I liked.
I thinking of getting Sonic X on import disks since I dislike what 4kids does to anime (see: butcher)

Oh well, I really wish they would make an anime version of Sonic Cd with all the original Sonic Cd music (I'm fond of the US music since that's what I grew up with) Sonic CD was the best of the Genisis(megadrive) to saturn games. It was FREAKIN AWSOME.
Ok, I'll shut up with my long post.

I know it is a wee bit odd, but I personally liked all of the Sonic cartoons that I have seen. Sonic Underground was my favorite of the US ones.
I have yet to see any of the actual Japanese stuff for Sonic.
I would like to, but I have the worst computer and connection ever. No chance to download it.
Also I am saving all of my spare money for Inuyasha.

Inuyasha is soooo cool!

Any how, it has been a long while since I have heard anyone speak of Sonic Under ground. :)
