Pop music lacks the talent and creativity of earlier musical eras. Music has undergone a transformation from an art-form to a commodity. As previous musical eras reflect the attitudes and opinions of people, modern music reflects the naivete and ignorance of people today.

Eminem came from a hard background, so he gets a little respect in that he utilized his "talents" to become successful. I dislike him, however, because he's sending a subconscious message out to "white trash" that THEY TOO can ignore getting an education and try to break into a 99% black dominated music genre, and deal with the adversity, legalistic aspects, and yes, discrimination that the rap industry has.

It's OK to be dumb - so long as you're "cool" and maybe on MTV, it's all fucking good!

If it makes you happy, I liked some of Eminem's songs (though I forgot the name of the titles, dammit). Oh wait......"The Real Slim-Shady" was pretty funny (especially the music video

). Just a note, I'm a guy, and I don't think he's hot.
