Eminem is probably one of the most talented songwriters of the modern era. He's got my respect.

I like some of his songs. The ones without 'excessive' swearing, or the ones where he is not singing about killing his wife. And, yes, he has some songs like that.

I said that because I obviously have a different definition of excessive swearing that you do  . So don't go saying that I'm wrong because I have different views than you do on what excessive swearing is. I was just offering up my opinion like everyone else. :?

Excessive swearing is swearing for no reason, I know, I do it all the time.

Most of the time when I type these posts I don;t swear, but as I say the message in my head that I want tot ype it's full of swear words, they just tend not to show up when I type for some reason.

Excessive swearing is excessive swearing, end of story.

My point is definition of excessive swearing is:

I think excessive swearing is when an artist uses swear words as fillers or for no particular reason, as in not being used as an adjective. Also, as long as it is not the whole song. I do not mind little bits of it.

An example of a song without excessive swearing is in the song Without Me, with lyrics here

But in contrast a song by him with excessive swearing is the song Kill You, with lyrics here

The definition of excessive swearing is realitive. I obviously have a different definition than you do.

I do give Eminem the credit he deserves, because he does have amazing talent. But I just can't like rap. I've still listened to quite a bit of his music and it's... surprising. :?

eminem ... well i don't like rap so that already puts him in a hole.

But his song, i think it's called "lose yourself", as long as i don't hear it more then ince or twice in a day i can tollerate it and almost like it. Other then that i usualy avoid his stuff. But i do give him some credit for rapping about stuff most people don't want to hear about and just put on a back burner and try to pretend just isn't there.
