DVD Ripping

Post by Toxie_punk » Fri Oct 24, 2003 3:32 pm

Does DVD ripping usually take hours or is it just the program I'm using? Is there any program out there taht would let me just takes parts of a DVD to my computer?

There are some:
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video ... ripper.cfm
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video ... rypter.cfm
You can only rip chapters of the video if you want just a part of video.

I'm sure. However, this is for stupid people like me who don't/can't figure out how to use that, and who need short, high quality clips in a hurry. MUCH MUCH faster than ripping and converting .VOB files.

Too bad. I was a "stupid person" once myself. I read the AV Tech guides written by AD and ErMaC and now I'm not. If you won't put the effort in, fine. Use substandard methods. Oh, and btw, editing with DivX is a nono.

You're entitled to your opinion. I'll continue with my methods...even tho i DID read the manuals, and just got MORE confusled....

anyway, I don't use DivX. it's called Windows Movie Maker 2.0 plus Power...something.......gives me over 200 transitions and over 350 effects.
