MimoCon (Middle Missouri Anime Con)

Post by Garylisk » Tue Oct 21, 2003 11:53 pm

There's a group of people trying to set up a con in the heart of the country, which also happens to be my home state of Missouri. :)

That's the page for the mailing list. If you live in a midwestern state, or just plain want more anime con action, check it out ;)

Garylisk,

I'd be very interested in this, but there's a serious lack of information about the whereabouts, whenabouts, and costabouts for this convention. Maybe we AMV creators can get a small panel to display some of our best videos. I know a couple other creators in my school actually (never met them though). Update more on it.

There already is one, to an extent: CogCon

True, it is more of a gaming con than an anime con, but historically (though as I understand it, less so since my departure) the anime club has had a room for showings at it.

In other news, I need to not miss the 'preview' button when I aim for it and hit 'submit' instead. Grr.

An anime con in Missouri would be wonderful, then I wouldn't have to drive all the way from KC to Chicago for ACen.

Even better: Archon!

As for Mimocon, it's still being planned, I am trying to get info myself. I'll post again when I find out more. For now, join the mailing list.
