Anyone like the Classic Rock? Zep, Floyd, Stones, Neil Young

Post by HeartbreakerByZep » Mon Nov 03, 2003 5:09 pm

Is anyone on here a fan of Classic Rock? I'm a huge fan of classic rock. Gotta love that Cowboy Bebop used some Classic Rock songs for episode titles (more anime should do that)

My favorite bands are Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Doors, & Neil Young, they're all amazing. But I like a lot of other classic rock bands a ton aswell, Rolling Stones, Ten Years After, Tom Petty, Robin Trower, The Who, Yes, The Eagles, Hendrix, definetly Bob Dylan, Crosby Stills & Nash, The Yardbirds, Buffalo Springfield, more where that came from. Anyone with me?

8) keep on rockin in the free world
Look at all my trials and tribulations
Sinking in a gentle pool of wine.
Don't disturb me now, I can see the answers
'Till this evening is this morning, life is fine.

I like the occasional tis true...

I agree most definately with Pink Floyd (is he classic rock per say?? *always gets genre's wrong...* ) and Neil Young ^^

Though I dislike the sound of Bob Dylan's voice *drugs do that to ya* I love the song Blowin in the Wind...

Moonlight - Pink Floyd is more than one guy, but yeah they're definetly Classic Rock, since they started in the latter mid sixties and had their prime in the seventies. But I totally love them and Neil Young, rock on! About Bob Dylan, for some reason I love his voice. I guess I have a soft spot for unique voices.

Rock on guys.

Pink Floyd is a little different... but, it goes to the definition well.

Suppose you can say SORT OF for me. I like a few of these bands, however, I'm more interested Classic PROG Rock as opposed to just general Classic Rock. At that, there's also a limited few I prefer out of that stream.

But, I suppose when I say King Crimson is my favorite band, that should get a nod of approval from you; even if it's far off the classic path today.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Nod of approval indeed, it's classic rock enough. :D

Robert Fripp should get an award or something.

Robert Fripp is too much of a pain in the ass to the music industry to get one

Sadly, I think we may be seeing the last of his public performance very, very soon :(

:D rawk

Anyways, back to topic - hardcore Punks aside, I don't think there's very many people who dislike Classic Rock as such. It's a movement with something to offer both the gawking simpleton and the technique-savvy, beard-scratching guitar grognard.

It's mostly over, yea, but it's been a fun movement.
