Specific Evangelion Scene

Hi there, wondering if anyone can help me. I'm looking for the one scene in the Evangelion Series that shows the doll of Asuka hanging and spinning. Often scene in the AMV 'Engel', I am looking for it. My friend and I can't seem to find it. If anyone knows, please point it out, it would be a great help, thanks!

That scene would definately be somewhere between Ep 21-23. I can't recall the specific episode, but at least you only have to look at the 7th DVD.

Sorry I can't be of much more help at this late hour, but I can't see anything other than my monitor and can't successfully grab the box set off my shelf.

Actually, one of my friends said she was looking through those episodes for that scene and couldn't find it... but she didn't have the last three episodes at the time. So there's a chance it might be in Episode 25 as well.

The scene you are looking for is from the Directors cut of episode 24 or 25 I believe. Its not available in dubbed form, it is only available in the Japanese release of Evangelion: The directors cut and Eva: Renewal.

That's probably me that he's talking about.

Nope it's not in 22 or 25. There is some more of Asuka crying in 25 but no doll. I'm beginning to think it's in End of Eva....

Nah, EoE was where they had the maggot-ridden corpse shot of Asuka, the doll never turned up

Just as she's coming out of her coma in 02's cockpit....right at the end of the repeated "I don't want to die!" scene...you've got to look quick because, like so many things in the film, this is there and gone in a flash...if you've got the film, slow it down right as the images start flying for that scene, it's the first one off the bat, her maggot-riddled carcass in a plug suit...

If you haven't got it, I can take a screencap for ya if you want...

I had trouble sleeping that night after I pressed pause at that scene. I think I might have observed it a little too long. It really disturbed me.
