Actually in the English version, they use the name Spinner Sun instead for no apparent reason. They never used Suppi.MAS PRODUCTIONS wrote:The cat's name is Spinner and his nickname is Suppi, or atleast it is in the japanese version. I wonder if they kept the same nickname in the english version. *ponders*
This is why Nelvana SUCKS!

THE BOTTOMLESS PIT OF DESPAIR!!
Okay, maybe not -- this question bears no relation to the live-action film Princess Bride. I just thought it sounded good, and it DOES relate to the following trivia Q.
The question comes from the Quack Experimental Anime Excel Saga.
One of the most common gags used in both the manga and anime series is the Pit. The one that ACROSS Combatant and Latrine Cleaner Excel Excel falls into quite often -- usually via trap door triggered by Lord IlPalazzo. However, although the Pit is utilized in the manga very early on (starting w/ pg. 9 of volume 1), it is NOT used right away in the anime series.
In fact, the first time the Pit is used in the anime series, Excel apologizes (verbally, profusely, and very VERY rapidly -- she HAS to , she's falling) to the fans of the original manga for making them wait so long for the appearance of the Pit, since it was a (supposedly) very popular running gag of the manga series, and here it is in Episode (blank) that the Pit makes its first appearance, and there seems to be a lot of things like skeletons and Puchuus and such that she is passing on the way down to the bottom of this Bottomless Pit, and Boy, this REALLY IS a deep pit and a really LONG description of Excel's long fall, I think I better stop this now before the rant gets too long -- HAIL ILPALAZZO!!!! <splash>
The question is: In what episode of Excel Saga does the Pit makes its first appearance? (NOTE: Episode title isn't necessary. The number of the episode will suffice.)

Spoiler Warning (okay, maybe not, but I'm not gonna ruin the joke for those who haven't seen Excel Saga, so just in case there IS a warning).Ashyukun wrote:I want to say Ep. 3? It's a been a while since I watched the early discs of Excel Saga...
Uh, No, it's not episode 3 (the ep where Koshi Rikdo has given the animators permission to turn Excel Saga into a B-action movie). It DOES have a pit (Ep. 3's the one where Excel's captured by the rebel army -- they toss her into a pit w/ the Matsumoto-Character-in-the-Iron-Mask to await execution), but it's not THE Pit.
