Kenshin's weakness was his sword that cant cut Shishio's weakness was his heat(note: his sword can cut so kenshin was hurt alot)

However, as i believe someone mentioned however, if Kenshin DID have a sword that wasnt a reverse blade he still would of lost.

Look at it this way.

Scenario 1

Kenshin gets a regular japanese sword for his fight with shishio, so what? He hasnt used it in 10 years, not to mention the fact he probly couldnt bring himself to.

Scenario 2

Kenshin never got the reverse blade and has used a regular one up to his battle with shishio. This would meen that Kenshin dosent have an oath not to kill and with out those morals he would of never made the allies such as Aoshi and Sano that stalled for him in the final fight. Not to mention Shishio is still a full fledged manslayer.

Scenario 3

Kenshin has a regular japanese sword and has continued to be a manslayer and never became a wanderer to begin with. Sounds like it would be even? Possibly if the fight ever occured, Kenshin as a manslayer would have no reason to really oppose Shishio, for it was his morals of saving Japan that brought him back to Kyoto.

In the end Shishio is stronger then Kenshin, he just is, no matter how you look at it. However half of Kenshins fighting technique is pschologicly. Sojiro was stronger then him but he broke him down mentally. You have to remember that strength is only half of a fight, and there for can not completely determine the outcome.

Also, why....WHY does everyone keep saying Kenshin's blade can't cut?

but yet everyone says reverse BLADE.

Kenshin's Sakabatou can cut. Stop saying it can't.

Very true, hes done it many times in the series, however he dosent use it on living things, because if he did that would defeat the purpouse of having a reverse blade :P

Any questions?

Oh...nevermind I know where this will go about how once he did start fighting at full (both), that he lost. Nope, I seem to recall him getting up even after being hit with Kenshin's succession technique. Oh and let's not even get into the fact that he gets stronger and stronger by the minute and Kenshin could barely even block his attack (the rocks were flying up b/c of the force...Kenshin is *not* this strong and never will be).

It also makes sense with the theme that Shishio is stronger. Shishio lost b/c of his strength yes? It was his weakness too (the stronger he gets...poof flames). The point was that even though Shishio was stronger, it didn't mean he was right and ultimately his strength became his weakness. Kenshin never beat Shishio...Shishio beat himself.

You guys seriously need to use some logic and stop going "OMG Kenshin is my favorite character, he *can't* lose...my favorite character HAS TO be the strongest." If that's how you think, you missed the entire point of the show. If he has to be the strongest, maybe you should go watch Dragonball Z or something else which empasizes being the strongest. Kenshin is not that kind of show. The theme is quite obvious for the entire Kyoto Arc.

Hell, I could easily make an argument that Kenshin is probably the....5th strongest person in the show? Soujirou, Enishi and Hiko could all easily kick his ass and in fact, all of them did along with Shishio. Are you guys gonna cry that your hero isn't the strongest?

obviously kenshin went for the sappy "whats right will win" angle, which i loved by the way. shishio was much strong, but in the end he also didnt have the best technique. Who would have thought of using the vacuum effect? :)

I hope thats a typo because that is the exact opposite of what he believed, infact he stated that in full at the end of the kyoto arc >.<

Agreed. The opposite of what you just said Yan was the point of the show. Not to sound like a prick, but I'm seriously surprised that people didn't see such a simple theme/meaning in the show. It's quite explicitely said...MANY times.

Hitori owns that thread. By owns I mean it is no longer omnistrata's. They might as well change the author. Keep it up, for you are a god among mortals, and you should never forget it!!
