What you missed out was the / in the second bit of BBcode. Also make sure that your BBcode is not disabled, and it's a generally good rule to always check that whatever you've done is all fine with the 'Preview' button before actually posting with the 'submit' button.

Agreed. Hiko is the most overly powered character in almost any anime I've seen. You think Kenshin is all strong up until that point and then you see this guy beat the fuck out of him and even mock that he's not trying . Oh and he beat Fuji (more or less Eva01 )Kracus wrote:doubtful he could take Hiko, but it is a different anime. So who knows.

Wasn't this thread about who would have won in the Bakumatsu? If so, then it's Kenshin because anyone who was stupid enough to attack him would meet a counter with a killing intent. But come on, people, what argument can you make stating that characters Kenshin beats down are better than him? The only character I could ever see beating Kenshin fairly is Hiko.

I think you misunderstood our argument. No one said he was *better* then him, they are mostly all *stronger* then him.Suzuki_Akira wrote:Wasn't this thread about who would have won in the Bakumatsu? Think about this for a second.
I hope that made sense, in the end we arnt saying that kenshin isnt *better* then someone, he simply isnt *stronger* then them.spoiler wrote:
Kenshin fights Sojiro - Sojiro is *Obviously* stronger then him and using his full strength could of butchered him at any time. However in using his full strength he would have to throw away his pride and admit that the strength he gained killing others was needed to kill someone who protected the weak. Sojiros mistake was this, in not finishing the fight quickly kenshin begain to break him mentaly, and THEN he broke him physically. In other words as kenshin said "Hes faster then the entire hiten mitsurugi style" was true, In their final battle when Kenshin used his amakakareherunomeki ( man you know thats spelled incredibly wrong ), if Sojiro still had the ability to bottle up his emotions his attack would of made contact and he would of been the victor.
Kenshin fights Shishio - In so many words, Kenshin lost. Shishio is the one who stood up when Kenshin was admiting into his own death, however Shishios *strength* was his downfall. Kenshin was not stronger then him, his abnormal body temperature was.

Keep in mind that Kenshin had just finished beating down the two other strongest swordsmen on earth, and his body was crapped coming into the fight from using that Ama Kakeru Ryuu no Hirameki twice, plus Shishio and Soujirou both had notice of the attack's existance, Shishio even knew a foolproof way to predict it thanks to Soujirou. Soujirou has speed, but he is also an attack imitator. For him to imitate an attack, he's got to see it first usually...and seeing the succession technique aimed at you is NOT the best way to learn...hehe...

Again...for the 9 millionth time...Shishio is a lot stronger then Kenshin, but that was also his weakness and why he lost. Why can people NOT admit that their favorite character isn't the strongest in the show? Why is it *that* important to you guys? If you think/feel that way, you're no better than Shishio and his philosophy and missed the entire point of the show.Suzuki_Akira wrote:Keep in mind that Kenshin had just finished beating down the two other strongest swordsmen on earth, and his body was crapped coming into the fight from using that Ama Kakeru Ryuu no Hirameki twice, plus Shishio and Soujirou both had notice of the attack's existance, Shishio even knew a foolproof way to predict it thanks to Soujirou. Why can't I admit it? I just don't agree, that's just my opinion. I know the point of the show, but I interpret it differently. I think that Kenshin WAS the strongest because he had something noble to fight for, something worth protecting, rather than just strength for it's own sake. it's like the Kamiya Kasshin Ryu-it by its nature is not allowed to fail, because it's supposed to protect.
