Hatebreed - The Rise of Brutality

Post by Brsrk » Thu Nov 06, 2003 10:00 am

I got this CD about 2 weeks ago yesterday and still can't stop listening to it, it's just that great. I'm also sorta suprised that no one has posted a topic about it, but meh...

Good CD, worth buying.

I'm glad I didn't buy it. It's a rehash of the same shit they've been doing since they started. They haven't grown, and all their songs sound almost identical.

It's not that great.

It is a rehash, yes. But for someone that isn't too familiar with their other works, it's a good CD to buy. However, if you buy this and then go back to their other works you'll either stop liking Rise of Brutality or you won't like their older stuff.

Or you'll be like me and like it all. :?

Hatebreed is my fav mosh pit in the last 3 years
this was in their Rise of Brutality tour in Montreal
September 2003 \m/
Dunno if the album can live up to the energy this band have
live but they sure kick some major ass on a stage

I dont mind Hatebreed's new album but I do admit its sort of repetitive in an annoying way. However I really think they are a good band live. I went to a Slayer concert in Edmonton 2 years ago and thats where I seen them I ended up enjoying Hatebreed's performance more than I did with Slayer (ironic enough.). Either way Hatebreed's new album isn't as good as their last album. I agree with Kuzutetsu, the album would sound much better live and in a mosh pit than lets say sitting in front of your desk doing something, of course that could be my opinion. Hatebreed and Slayer are the only death metal (if they are considered so) bands I can stomach.

I have a thing against hardcore metal. It's just a little too average for me and a reason to just be loud. I can only name 6 hardcore bands I can appreciate. Hatebreed isn't one of them. I think it's just generic loudness.

(6 bands)
Dillinger Escape Plan
Lethargy
Mastodon
Both
Hopesfall
SOD

HateBreed? Ewwww All they did was make a good CD and do it over and over again. Their retarded like Slip Not wanna be bad ass metal bands. I hoping to there whould be some real metal heads in here atleast. I have to sit through Hatebreed towhenI go see Slayer and Arch Enemy which are real metal bands and not posers like HateBreed and Korn. Try to listen to different forms of metal and youll discover that they suck.

Some suggestions
Soilwork-The Chainheart Machine
In Flames-Whorcole, Clayman, Colony, and The Jesters Race
Arch Enemy- Buring Bridges, Wages Of Sin, Anthems Of Rebellion
Rob Zombie(Yes hes a form of metal)-Hell Billy Deluxe
DevilDriver- DevilDriver
and heres some others
Cryptopsy
Canniable Corspe

Theres more I just dont feel like typeingthem cause Im sure youll still think HateBreeds awsome because you wont bother to listen to any of this stuff
 Do you like System with downsydrome too?

Actually I hate In Flames, I own one albums (Clayman) from them that sounds no different than Hatebreed just a bit more faster.

I own nearly all of the White/Rob Zombie albums except for their remix albums
As for Cannibal Corpse I hate that band with a passion, I still wonder why that cookie monster metal band is still around.

I grown out of listening to Korn 3 years ago, as for System Of A Down I only have one album from them and it was after that i realized it was a waste of my money. As for Slipknot I dont own anything from them nor I ever do.

I listen to Iced Earth, Blind Guardian, Kamelot, Threshold, KMFDM (not metal, but Industrial), Angra, Nightwish, Anthrax, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Motorhead, Queensryche, Sepultura (Nation and Roorback, not a fan of their singer from Roots and before. Take it anyway you want), Halford and I could go on but I think I made my point.
