Ermac posts seem to be the only one making sense.
This thread is like a bunch of blind people talking to a wall.. Who the hell are you debating with. The only person who you are apparently proving wrong posted once and possible never came back to this Forum and in his wake you are still going on.
Dude, what are you talking about? The thread seems to have turned into more of a discussion on religion in general.. there's no arguing going on (except those who posted bible contradictions in reply to MinnieMoose's post).

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that isn't letting ErMac live it down.

it's funny and all...but you've just about to cross the line of becoming a troll/mindless spammer.
Please, don't insult me like that. My spam is completely mindful, calculated strikes as someone said.

For Christ's sake, I hate threads like this. It's stupid. Just stop talking, people. Do you honestly think talking about anything here on a forum is going to make ANYONE change their minds about something like religion? HELL no. This is a senseless waste of bandwidth, and as such I felt like contributing my waste of bits to the conversation. And I will keep doing so until this stupid $@#$ is over with and this thread is down on the second page. This is my form of protest.
So deal with it.

Continue staging your protest and we'll continue complaining about it since you have the same right to spam the thread and ruin any semblance of constructive intellectial conversation that we do to criticize you for it. Don't like it? Deal with it.

This is why I love the Bible. All the information is in one easy to read place. Not only does is contain science, but also humanity, sociology, and everything else man would ever need. String theory? Darwinism? Who needs those lies. I have got my Bible which has all the right answers.
Yes, what a wonderful lesson. Remember kids, if you have your own opinions, you'll find yourself skewered to a crucifix, being stabbed by an indifferent Roman guy with a sharp stick, all because you were making it more difficult for all your "friends" to swindle your followers' money.

The Bible doesn't explain science. Their form of "science" is that God created everything, so rest your pretty little head, and go to sleep only knowing God is "keeping the answers from us for some higher purpose". All women must immediately become servants to their husbands, and walk two steps behind them, because God says women are always inferior to men.

Funny thing about the Bible. It doesn't explain the functioning of the universe, but as soon as Galileo, Copernicus, and Darwin (all of them believe in the Christian God) give theories as to how God made the universe work, Christians start trying to kill them off.

Guess it pays off to be stupid, and just follow the crowd like a bunch of sheep. After all, that's the survival strategy of the Iraqis, Chinese, Russians, Koreans, Vietnamese, Germans, and French, and look how well it worked for them!

I hate the bible, i used to like reading the stories because hey... theres some good fiction in there that can really come to life in the imagination, but that is all it is, stories, nothing more.

I'm a bit late on this but heh, I have yet to see god come down and light wet wood on fire. I swear, I see a bunch of self righteous, hypocritcal christians preaching, the first thing I ask them is if they can make miracles happen and make god appear before them.
Now I once read this story about the ra people or the sun god people vs Jesus and Jesus got a pile of wood wet it with water and prayed to his master. And yet out of all these years, you think that they could make it happen again without some lousy trick. But no. There are no miracles.

Now heres another interesting theory. What if the true evil lay in the heavens? (aka) god? You've really got to think about it, the christians are following a deity who "supposedly" made them burn all those midwives at the stake those centuries ago? The inquisition? Is this what the view is portrayed as? control and power? So the witches if they were of the devil, nature lovers tree huggers, stoners, gypseys, dancers etc. The hell? all of those under the "supposedly" dark lord of the underworld.

Is it that god will destroy the world to keep the fate of humanity while satan is killing humanity for the sake of the world? Of course this could be easily portrayed in X- the series, BUT IT MAKES FUCKING SENSE DOESN'T IT?! You don't just pull THAT out of a hat do you?

Thats the religion sense. However, I believe that we evolved from a monkey and a pig getting it on back in the good old days. Hey they ARE growing human organs in pigs because they are near identical, and apes do have some sort of human form. I mean how are we going to explain all the different types of fish? the different types of birds? they must has cross bred at some point. now I know apes and pigs aren't alike but wierd shit can happen. like the bulldog and the shitsu. However, i will not say it is true, and like people have said, the world is changing, the science is changing, WE are changing. And the more we advance the better it becomes.

But when it comes to the facts between science and religion... anyone picking religion needs to be laughed at and then trampled over by a milion horses, rolled over by a steamroller and buried in the dirt for a million years, then when aliens dig it up the science people with the ability to be immune to all diseases and live til 600 years can say ahh yes... Stupidus Religionus, a man who believes religion was the way of life and that was how life was created.

believe your religion, but don't expect me to feel sorry for you when you religion people are left on earth while us science people go live in Mars and then move over to another galaxy where we gain friendship with aliens and produce hybrid offspring that later annihilate earth. Meh
