Compression
Hey, what's the best compressor out there? Can anyone tell me a good one and give me the link to it? My AMV is 1.01 GB right now for about a 4:45 Vid, and that's hella huge. I used TMPeg, but that seems to make it suck. Anyways, help out plz!
We, who are about to die, salute you.

Re: Compression
Divx and Xvid are your best bet for efficency, Mpeg-1 at a higher bitrate is good too because Mpeg-1 has a very good internet survivability rate, a few missing bit and it keeps chuggin', Divx and Xvid can explode when something goes wrong.
I have a problem with that. Pig.RiceBurner wrote:Girls: No shirt, no pants, no shoes...no problem

Divx and Xvid are just codecs that are installed on your system. Just about any AVI program can use them, try VirtualDub ( http://www.virtualdub.org/ ) it's an exelent program for manipulation of AVI material, I use it to resize video before I have Tmpgenc encode it for MiniDVDs and what not.

The Nimo codec pack is a collection of most codecs available. As said, DivX or XviD are probably your best bets for distribution.RiceBurner wrote:lol, sorry bout my signature, it's a joke!!!
