Don't even think about it!

There's already a 'yaoi' thread, with the word in big capital letters - YAOI!! - and it hasn't stopped the flames yet. Now, if you want to resurrect that thread, you can, since it's the only one in the anime section - just flip back a few pages and you'll see it. But don't for a moment think that just warning in the title is going to stop the flames. There were as many squicked fanboys crying in that thread as there are in this one (and this thread doesn't even *have* yaoi pics).

If you don't like yaoi, what would make you think that those of who do care?
I don't jump into het or yuri threads and call them sick. I just ignore them and continue on my way.

It's things like that which make me consider bringing the kissing boys avatar back (although the size compression makes it hard to see).

Heh, I had a pretty Kurama/Hiei avatar - just them lyring together (fully clothed and modest mind you - not even a kiss) when I was working on my last romance vid. But it still managed to annoy someone who recognized the pair. ^_^;;

Well, I don't know, peoples. I suppose that's a suggestion for a reasonable forum community... but this one is not always as reasonable as I'd hope.

What to do? I don't know, keep trying, or not. But maybe a designated yaoi thread is better than a few undesignated ones.

Yep. ^_^ So if she wants to post yaoi pics (and not official pics from a technically non-yaoi anime), I'd send her over to the one and only yaoi thread in the anime section. But right now she doesn't have any pics here that would be classified as yaoi (or even shonen ai), so technically they don't belong on that thread. They are bishonen featured in the anime, not doing anything aside from being friends. I don't really care if people are squicked by the mere existences of a bishonen or not - it doesn't need to be hidden behind some huge yaoi banner if it isn't yaoi.

Just go to a GW forum full of regular fangirls - they'll tell you in a heartbeat that there's nothing yao about the pics - the guys are just friends. ^.~

Eh, sorry about that. I just don't think you (or anyone) should be run off the anime forum for posting normal bishonen pics. Yes, I can see the boys wanting to keep the yaoi confined in a thread separate from their fragile little eyes, but the pics in this thread are bishonen. They are not yaoi and so long as there are no yaoi or shonen ai pics in this thread, there's no reason to have it moved or hidden.

I just don't like the idea of having to put a single bishonen pic in a 'yaoi' thread if it *isn't* yaoi. I'll take the bigots as far as yaoi and shonen ai are concerned, but when they start discriminating against a single bishonen (the first pic in this thread), it gets a little stupid.

Might as well say any male anime pics have to be kept hidden so the boys won't feel threatened.

[Either way, if you do decide to put more pics in this thread, just give the links - that way they'll have no one to blame but themselves if they see a bishonen.]
