Real Bout High School.... Worth it?

Post by Hotta_Bushi » Tue Dec 02, 2003 12:29 am

Ok, since I can get RBHS complete boxed set for about $70, I have to ask, is it worth it? What other anime are similar?

For the record, I have enjoyed Ranma 1/2, The Guyver, I bought NGE one disc at a time upon it's release, Slayers 1 (and OVA), first 3 Lost Universe discs, Cowboy Beebop movie, and Hellsing.

So... any thoughts?
A lot of places say "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service". Theoreticly I could walk around without pants and still expect service.

LOL I GOT THE WHOLE OFFICIAL BOX SET FOR $30, SUCKS FOR YOU. but its ok, i dunno bout paying 70 for it...but it is amusing and only 13 episodes long. Its got a great dub (thanks to Lucas and Lee as always) and yeah...i'd look for cheaper. But yeah like i said its something to watch. Not the greatest thing or a wow thats a little better then good. its like a C on a report card in lower level classes where it really does mean average.

Considering where I live and selection, $70 isn't all that bad. And also since most boxed sets are around $100 or more, I think it's a fairly good deal.

But then again, 13 episodes on 4 or 5 discs? Man, Transformers spoiled me with 6 eps per disc.

BTW I live in Guam. Things here are little more expensive then back in the states. (Shipping costs, ya know?)

Not part of the job description. I'm kinda stuck here for 2 years at least. Besides, It's cheaper to fly to Japan then it is to the States.

But I'm planning on moving up to Sacramento or Bay Area once I get back anyway.

I wouldn't do it...I've only seen the first DVD, but I didn't like it very much and it isn't worth 70 bucks...there's always eBay, if you really want it! I definitely prefer the RBH manga - it's awesome! Ryoko is SO much more dynamic! She kicks butt! In the anime she seems a little...ditzy. :?

Arigato Ryuu. I finally get a good answer. I just found somebody that owns it and I think I'm going to watch it first.
