Oh yeah Kikaider, good one. I was up the night the first episode of Kikaider aired on Adult swim, and I remember them calling it "a classic anime." How the hell can they call that steaming pile a classic? Classic (old as hell) character designs for sure. The character designs reminded me of Inspector Gadget. To those who like Kikaider, I will admit in fairness that I have only seen a few episodes. However, I have never been able to emotionally connect to a robotic character, no matter how much they profess to have "real" feelings. Yeah right. Yawn. If the series does get good it must take a long damn time. The only nice thing I can say about the show is that David Lucas does a very good job voicing one of the Cyborg villians. Thats it. Robots Robots Robots.J-0080 wrote:Aside from Reign, I was also bored by Kikader.
I'm annoyed at Macross Plus, no I really liked it, I'm just annoyed at Manga Entertainment for tricking me into buying the movie edition, they didn't put the dub on it dammit!
LMAO. Early in the second paragraph I was like "you better not be dissin' Macross plus!" However I can totally relate. I bought Macross plus 4 years ago on VHS, only to find out that it was subbed. I still want my $20 back!

Thanks to our emotion chips we have feelings too.
The character designs on it sorta reminded me of Cyborg 009, although I actually liked that show. Maybe because they're not robots? :p

Back in my early anime days I had only seen a handful of animes, all of them movies. I have only liked about 15% of the anime movies I've seen, because the plot is often confusing or not explained enough, the characters are not developed very deep, etc. Not that I hated appleseed, but when I saw "Manga's" trailer for it it looked really cool, bullets flying and lots of action. And when I actually watched the show, it was slow paced and had dissapointingly low amounts of action. Back then, I pretty much only watched anime for the action. Even now I can barely remember any of that movie, most of what I remember was already on the manga trailer. I'm not super happy about "bashing" it, its just that when I saw someone else bash it I was understanding. Bottom line is that its decent overall but not memorable.Jonathan02us wrote:I've heard that name before ... wat is that anime about and y u think its boring ...

FlCl was the absolute worst. It was pointless and irratating to watch. I've seen better episodes of Yugi-Oh. Animes about popular card games just never work.
