You're being pretty arrogant there dude. I suppose its possible that their albums dont meet your standards, but thats no reason to go about ridiculing them. I think that SOAD is sticking to their initial philosophy and experimenting musically with different themes and styles. But then again if they duplicated the "special and original" quality of their first album, you would just call them stale. Why not just live and let live?Set_Abominae wrote: SOAD used to be really original and innovative. Their second album was melodic but contrived and their last album was blatantly ripping off black sabbath riffs when they weren't trying too hard to be controversial. They're just not special or original anymore. They just got worse. I stopped calling anything nu-metal. I use the word Mallcore. Because when something isn't 'nu-metal' but can definitely be lumped with other 'nu-metal' bands talent wise, it is Mallcore.

Well, I generally don't go about ridiculing them. We just happened to be on the subject and I wanted to give my input.Pierrot Le Fou wrote:You're being pretty arrogant there dude. Yeah, I don't think so. Led Zepplin, Mountain, Deep Purple, Steppenwolf, Blue Oyster Cult... all metal.flint_the_dwarf wrote:Zeppelin isn't metal.
These are always pointless conversavtions, seeing as to no one can agree what is really metal, and then when they do there's about 5,000 different kinds of metal a band can be........

Hey, I didn't make the rules. Most periodicals classify the bands I mentioned as metal. I doubt they would be so misinformed.Vlad86 wrote:"This metal isn't really metal, and that rock really is metal!!OMG WTF R0Xx0rs!!!!!!lOlO!!!111!!!!!!!!"Set_Abominae wrote:Yeah, they are. What a day for a stupid argument about what is or isn't metal.
C'mon, y'alls, stop beating your collective heads against this pointless wall and just let the metal flow....*however* you define it.

Shin Hatsubai is a Premiere-free studio. Insomni-Ack is habitually worthless.
