I would certainly choose my human boyfriend over the object of my fangirlism.

My real boyfriend and my anime "boyfriend" can be strikingly similar sometimes (which probably why I'm attracted to both of them in the first place)...but a real person will always be better then a fantasy in my opinion. An anime character may have a great personality but what good is it if that personality can't be shared with you personally?
