Why? it isn't like it helped in general OT. They clearly said spam was not allowed, but lo and behold. ErMac doesn't like a thread and BOOM, Him, Pwolf, and even the almighty admin AD raid the thread spamming to high heaven.

GA topics have always been like that.

There were some good posts and threads, but nevertheless, it was and is an overwhelming pile.

Well ya see, we arent allowed to censor opinions (i.e. getting rid of the topic) but people are stating opinions in order to piss people off we felt that it was bad for the thread to continue the way it was.

So we decided to derail it. Ends justifying means blah.

I remember that one really pissed you off - sorry about that.

I didn't see people stating their opinions to piss others off. Maybe I remember incorrectly, but I can't go back ot the thread to see, so I'll jsut stick with what I remember. And furthermore, if it degraded into "stating opinions in order to piss people off " then you could have easily locked or deleted the thread. But it clearly hand't degraded to the point that would justify moderation. (but it did afterword since ErMac and friends took it upon themselves to make CERTAIN to end the thread.)

Oh, and by the way, there was a sticky at the top of the forum saying no spam which I had to QUOTE to make them stop. Kind of funny watching an admin (asuming it was AD) wade through 4 or 5 pages of spam that shouldn't be there to get to my post and tell me to lay off the personal attacks.

But if the ends justifies the means, I'll take it upon myself to end the inane threads going on in General Anime.
