I'm curious though. I always thought that the forums should get it's own admin, since I thought that Phade couldn't do it on his own (since he's running the site.) But the forums having an admin of it's own all this time, and STILL being nearly impossible to manage, it boggles the mind. (Especially cosidering how diligent the mods used to be.)
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

So you weren't an invisible admin, you were an inviso mod that got promoted. NOW I get it. Smart move on Phade's part!

Much kudos to you, AD, for standing up and doing this officially. I salute you!
As an aside, it's nice to see a little variation in the username colours- you really do stand out

Well it's good to know the name of someone in charge. I kinda like to know who MOD #whatever is. It actually makes me feel more comfortable on a board when I know who is watching it...unless I know that the person is irresponsible of course. But that's rarely the case in organized forums.
Revealing your identity isn't that bad. I'm a super moderator (a mod with some administrative powers...it's a PHP hack) on another large forum and an administrator on another. Despite the size of the boards, I don't really get a lot of PMs at all and we don't have a "drop box" in either of them.
