DO NOT USE SmartRipper to make D2V files. It does it wrong.
Use the new DVD2AVI from Donald Graft which you can get from his site along with the corresponding mpeg2dec files, or just use the DVD2AVI that's included in the current AMVApp, it shouldn't matter too much. Just don't use SmartRipper's D2V file creation!

I have the AMVapp pack and am having similar problems,
i either get that error message or I get 7 seconds of what should be a 2 hour video. I checked the DVD2AVI project that the AVS file corresponds to and it is correct and full there, all 2 hours of it.
My AVS file reads:
MPEG2Source("F:\HELLSING_VOL4\VIDEO_TS\Hellsing.d2v") wat can I do? It won't open in VDub, premiere or Media player and when it does its only the first 7 seconds?
