I NEED TO SET MY VIDS TO PLAY ON A SERTIN PLAYER...HOW?

well here is the problem...everytime i go to re-download some vids i had before my comp lost everything it doesnt take me to my realone player anymore...it takes me to the windows player where the vid wont even play! how do i get them coming back to realone? please help me![/quote]

The problem's not that Windows Media Player is playing the videos.

The problem is that you're missing the necessary codecs.

Search for the innumerable other threads about similar topics for instuctions on downloading and installing the needed codecs.

You can make them play with realone if you right click and select "open with" and then find RealOne and check "Always use the selected program blahblah".

If you don't have that, you can do it in RealOne's settings.

get ffdshow. i had that same problem as you did and that seemed to fix it. im sure you can find it on google or some search engine.
