I really have no clue. I have it sitting on my computer right now (a friend replaced a hard drive and filled the old one up with fansubs for me). I should watch it.... it's apparently "Read or Dream" now. *shrug*

And easier to collect. Eventually I'll be able to afford to buy FLCL or Fruits Basket (three and four DVDs respectively). I doubt I'm going to be able to afford the 130+ Inu Yasha DVDs. I wish I could support Rumiko Takahashi more, but in the end it just wouldn't be worth buying that many DVDs....

Ah, I'd wondered about that "Read or Die" and "Read or Dream" thing. Short series = much more lenient on the cash!!!! For the longer ones, I would rather wait till they come out with a "perfect collection" set on ebay where they stick the whole series on about three DVDs. Or, of course, you could acquire them through less-than-legal means...but I don't like doing that and we're not supposed to talk about it here anyway.

Shorter isn't always cheaper, for instance I paid $64 for FLCL, and only $52 for The Wanderers, which has 24 episodes compared to 6.

It just depends on where u get it. I usually shop around and see who has it cheaper. Sometimes, i just buy it online because it is cheaper there (ebay). Oh well ... :)

Well, there's also the fact that FLCL is six eps and comes on three dvds... *shrug* I'd still like to buy it sometime though. Now if I only had a job...

I agree to that! If a serise is only six episodes, they should just put it one a single DVD, don'tCHA think?

Stuff like that makes me understand why some people choose to acquire their anime through less-than-legal means. Not that I approve.

Like me, you mean? I borrow a friend's fansubs at first and then am trying to actually collect series that I think I may rewatch at some point in the future, like FLCL. But yeah--three DVDs is a bit of a ripoff--even three eps per DVD would be better.

yeah, well, your dvd collection will look more impresive for it.............. but yeah, i expect 5 eps to a disk minimum, but hey, why are people like ADV going to do stupid things like that eh? why limit a series to just a couple of disks when you can get someone to pay for 6/8 instead??

Its the greedyu, money grabing bastard society we live in today......... isnt life great?
