Alucard or Arucard?

As I said in the other thread, the direct romanization would have to be "Arukarudo". Possibly "Arukaado". Certainly not "Arucard" - romaji words can't ever end in "d".

The R1 DVDs I saw had it subbed as "Arucard", as well as having it spelled that way on the box.

No, the only consonant at the end of romanji is 'n.' Anything ending with a hard 'd' or 't' will usually be followed with 'o'. And an 's' will have a silent 'u' if nothing else just to keep the word/name ending with a vowel in the absence of an 'n.'

Why the argument? This is basic trivia here - the original 'Trivial Pursuit.' The real question, do you believe the questions on the original Trivial Pursuit game. Dun.... :shock:
