why don't we just delete the entire site?

Or better yet a little message to tell ppl not to add to previously added anime.

I have written up some guidelines which once confirmed by Phade should appear about the box to add new anime.

You could take those hundreds of entries people previously listed, and script up something so people can't re-add them again. It would be extreme but it would make absolutely certain noone EVER adds them AGAIN.

Exactly. No-one can re-enter things that were once there but people always come up with weird and wonderful titles.

I've seen some videos where they made a new anime which was the title of their video...

I've heard of self-referential but this is ridiculous

Do you get an updated list of the new anime (and songs when you get to that) which are added each day/week so you can keep it from getting this bad in the future? I figure doing a routine check ever so often would make it easier to keep it clean.

Not yet, but it's really easy to see which ones havent been checked on the list.

Once the whole list is done, the new ones will stand out and can easily be verified.

To bad the site can't check the animenfo servers to see if an anime is valid. There are a lot of programs out right now that allow users to access them without a browser and even in some chats.

animenfo doesn't have everything - it wouldn't be reliable enough. There have been a few valid entries that I've found so far that were missing from animenfo.
