after reading naruto's manga through chapter 50 (volume 5 or 6) i can honestly say this is the most addictive thing since toiler paper, just can't stop using it! DAAAAAAAAMN!

I like Naruto, but I hope it doesn't become, well...popular. I mean, what would that mean, if they started showing it on Fox Box or whatever? It'd be good, yeah, but then it'd also get, as I have said, overhyped and stupid.

Of course, then we could get more Naruto action figures (though Tien with a Cloak is the best action figure in the whole goddang universe).

for one thing, DBZ's is freakin poor animation. Naruto is crisp cleaner animation much better then DBZ.

as for (thankyou kirbyoto for giving the correct spelling) Feudal Japan. In that sentance, you seem to be defending Naruto. Unless you mean to bash that type of anime style.

OOHHHH why thank u very much *bunch of smart asses i see...: P * Ill addmit to the fact that not all of dbz consists of crisp clean graphics, but like that matters....the point was an anime as spectacular as the z, based on futuristic fantsy related ideas revolving around the practice of and mastery martial arts/fist to fist combat can not be replaced by something of that anime type, hell why dont u just say naruto is going to be the next kenshin eh...

NO im not bashing that anime type either, i just perfer fantsy : P anytime, love *muah*

i admit the animation in the buu saga is pretty good but animation isn't everything.

I just find DBZ lacking a concrete plot. Like after bout 50 or so episodes, they throw in a new villain whoose super strong but under extreme pressure, etc. one of the heroes becomes stronger and wins. (and don't say I never seen DBZ cause i've watched the entire series )

From what I've gathered from Naruto, it's pretty indeph and has a very good storyline and actually intresting.

Fine fine, whatever u say Hime.....tho with the way u ppl talk one would think it sounds interesting indeed, but i could think of somthing better than "Ninjas and swords: the in your face journey of a freak in all black that goes on a silent killing spree with a sword anyday (and yea i know, thats sooo stereotipical of me)

And dont u dare put down the lack of plot as an excuse for insulting dbz, try looking at the extremely well done characterization and development of the characters themselves...damnit even the blind and blonde could see that after watching "Z" they actually "know" the main characters and saw them as they grow and "evolved".

first of all, why does it seem like ur yelling this? i know there are no exclamation marks or anything, but it seems like there's PASSION in ur words, lol, nice

but as another watcher of the entire dbz series, i have to half-agree with you, not all the main charaters were seen growing up, and not all the characters were fully developed in dbz alone

-Vegeta is probably the one that is the MOST developed out of all of them
he is the fallen prince who is alive at the death of almost his entire race/species and he is the one that is manipulated to fight for a king who he does not respect and eventually he rebels against, he is the one that looks for the way to surpass his own limits, not always by training, but by finding ppl he loves to fight for to give him strength, and he is the one that finally realizes that he can't always be the best, at times he will have to stand aside.
-Tien i would have to say is not shown to grow OR develop in dbz, but that's probably because his 15 minutes of fame were in db
-Chaotzu....i just feel sorry for him, he turned into a punching bag in dbz... though i don't know how good he was in db
-Goku grows in db, not dbz and he doesn't ever develop, the ideals he holds in the beginning of the show are the same as the ones he holds at the end, the only thing he did was powerup and save more people while always stealing the spotlight

i'll stop here, some good characters, some that just ride the coat-tails of db, not the best series, but it's got it's pluses and well as it's minuses

Naruto's NOT the next Kenshin because the characters fight (or choose NOT to fight) for completely different reasons, so i wouldn't try for this argument

As for Animation, i think dbz's latter animation pwns naruto's.. at least in the anime it does, i started watching the naruto anime, and when they would do the dramatic jumps or shuriken throws with all the speed and direction lines, they would stay with the same still shot for FOREVER, and the way the shuriken change direction in mid-air, it's kinda strange, but when the 'hand-to-hand' 'nitty-gritty' fights get started, the quality really gets good
so i think Naruto is CLEANER and dbz is SMOOTHER.. at least later on it's smoother.. mostly the buu stuff
