What are your plans for this year?
Looking ahead to this year, I was thinking of what videos I would like to do, and I was also wondering what kind of videos other people had in mind. So I wanted to ask what kind of videos you were thinking of doing. Now I understand that some people, including myself, would prefer to keep some bigger projects secret until release, but you can still give some general details without giving away too much (Sometimes the title, music/audio source, or concept can give away too much) . Anyway, here is a list of my current and future projects and the order in which they will be done. Note: these are just plans, and life always has a way of screwing with me and changing my plans, so nothing is guaranteed.
1. Evangelion trailer project
Category: Action / Trailer
Anime: Evangelion, The End of Evangelion
Just like my last video, this is going to be another trailer video using scenes from Evangelion. This one however is going to be more complex and at about 4 minutes, is about twice as long as my previous trailer. This also has a few weird sound effects that are kind of hard to work with, but it’s coming out ok so far.
Progress: 40% before system malfunction. 25% current.
2. Untitled Nadesico Project
Category: Action / Drama
Anime: Martian Successor Nadesico
This one is technically going to be the first thing I do that actually qualifies as an anime music video. I’ve got a good piece of unused instrumental music and a few scenes planned out. The only thing I don’t have is a title. The thought has crossed my mind to just call it “Untitled Nadesico Project”, but I think I’ll try to find something better.
3. Multi- Final Fantasy video
Category: Action / Drama
Source: Main series Final Fantasy games
Yet another Final Fantasy video to throw into the pile, and the fact that I’m using a rather overused song means there’s plenty of potential for this to suck. Anyway, if I plan this out right, it can come out pretty good.
4. Title: The World is Square 2: It’s Hip to Be Square
Category: Action / Fun
Source: Various Squaresoft / SquareEnix games
A follow up of my first video. It’s not really as big as the other videos I have planned, but it might be fun to do. The song selection should seem obvious from the title.
If I haven’t gone insane by this point, there are some other videos I might look into
5. Untitled Silent Mobius video
Category: Action / Horror
I found some good video game music that would go well with this series.
6. Title: Spike and Vicious Face Off
hmmm…. Can you take a guess at what this might turn out to be? Hint: “Plan B: Let’s just kill each other.”
Maybe eventually I’ll try something other than an action video.

My plans for this year:
1. RVG Project
I got a tetris remix. Will I surpass my last years video? Who the hell knows, I sure dont. But this baby is being edited 100% in after effects...
2. DDR Project
No details really, but this will DEFINATELY be better than my crappy vid last year.
3. Evangelion Video
This ones a surprise.
4. AWA Video (Pro or Masters)
Yet another dramatic video as usual. I think this one will actually be rather fun and entertaining though, unlike most drama vids.
5. Marmalade Boy fast paced dance video
Been wanting to do this one for a while... I can never seem to get around to finishing watching the series though.

to do this year:
1: Finish current demo video (~50% complete)
2: Fix my bloody capture/prod gear so I can do the following:
3: Cat Soup with early-'20s hot jazz and a lot of frame munging [Weird Vid, no category]
4: App-kill a popular action series (for AWA) [action/horror/drama/etc]
5: The last Kenshin video I'll ever make (movie/"New Age Messiah") [drama/action]
6: Planetes/Outcome as soon as I can get my hands on the series [fun/drama]
7: Another extreme death/mangling video, probably using Mortician (maybe MD Geist as anime for this)
8: Add 5 or so bands to the DB beyond the 2-3 already included above
9: Beat Ari to the century mark (not gonna happen)
Yeah it's a little ambitious, and I'm not sure this year has space for 15 vids in it, but it's worth shooting for.

Shin Hatsubai is a Premiere-free studio. Insomni-Ack is habitually worthless.

From my profile:
I'm almost done with C.C.D.D....hopefully, barring work, I'll be able to finish it in another couple of weeks. My idea for Gasaraki is perhaps too ambitious for my abilities as a creator, but we'll see.My profile wrote:Future ideas:
Song: The Red Pill by The Crystal Method
Anime: Gasaraki
Gasaraki meets The Matrix? What am I smoking?
Song: A.D.D. (American Dream Denial) by System of a Down
Anime: G Gundam
An attempt at a Chibodee character profile. Tentative title is "C.C.D.D. (Chibodee Crockett Dream Denial)"
Song: Highway Song by System of a Down
Anime: Initial D
I've been listening to too much System of a Down...anyway, the first time I heard this song, it screamed "Initial D!" Now, to acquire the DVDs from my friend...
Song: Brain Damage by The Austin Lounge Lizards
Anime: Excel Saga (maybe)
A tentative project. I just wanna do an Excel video, and The Austin Lounge Lizards fast-paced bluegrass version of "Brain Damage" suits the tempo of Excel Saga better than Pink Floyd's original.
Life's short.
