Can't DL Jebadia: FIRE!! HELP!!

Yo! I'm having trouble DLing Fire!! by Jebadia and I was wondering if its just me or can it be DLed at all. I open it with windows media player but it come up with a "Error# C00D11CD" If anyone can help me try and DL this file! I've been waiting to get my hand on this file since 6/23/03 (the day after I saw it at Fanime Con!

Can we get a link to the vid? What format is it? Did you download the file and then try to open in it in your media player? Was the size of the file the same as the one given in the vid description?

It could be an incomplete download - or it could be a codec issue. I don't recognize that error or know anything about the vid, so I can't say without more info. ^_^;

Oh I get the same error when I try to DL some vids , you just have to point the mouse to the "local" link and click right button of your mouse then choose "open new window" , and I guess the dl gonna start ^^

BTW , that's a great vid

To answer Arigatomyna's question is:

First I click (left click) on the link to DL it and it goes into windows media player automatically (on the left side of the screen) after ten seconds of wait. I don't know if its DLing or trying to stream it but after few moments I get an error message opened in the same window to the Windows Media Support page. (I just can't stand the word ERROR!) Oh, and here is the URL, Link, page...uh yah.

Yeah - you don't want to stream large amvs (especially the locally hosted ones - they aren't set up to read as vids). When you click the download button you should get an option to either open or save - and you'd save the vid to your harddrive - so you can open it later and play it in your media player. When the media player tries to automatically open, that means it's streaming.

Inside Windows Media Player check your internet settings (options/preferences/etc - it should be listed under something like that) and uncheck anything that talks about playing online content. You might also check your Internet Explorer settings (right-click on the icon and hit properties - advanced, or under tools when you have IE open). Make sure you disable anything that tries to play online media instead of downloading it.

Try disabling the automatic streaming so you can just download the vid normally. If that doesn't work, try right click save as to open the download page. If it's a local vid you can cancel and then wait (60seconds) and hit the 'if the download does not start automatically click 'here'' button and download from that.

Another option - I hear you don't have this problem if you use the opera browser (and you can resume large downloads) - www.opera.com

I'm still not sure if this is a local vid or not, but another possibility is to clear your browser cookies and temp files - that's only if you can't stop the streaming by changing the settings manually.

[But if you didn't try Paulo's suggestion, you might want to - try opening the link in a new window instead of simply clicking on it.]

Ignore that part - my browser seems to be having color troubles so I didn't see the link. O.o

It's local - definitely try clearing your cookies (it can't hurt ^.~ ). Follolw these steps:

Log out of your account
close the browser
right-click your Internet explorer icon
choose properties
click 'delete cookies'
click 'delete files'
click 'settings' and click 'view files'
manually delete anything that didn't get cut
click 'clear history'
open a new broser and log back into your account
Try the download again.

This will *not* work if you didn't disable automatic streaming in your media player, but it tends to stop other bugs. ^_^;
