i am goin sking this weekend and it is a 6 hour drive so i need some good rock songs to d/l....n/e suggestions

rock is a broad genre. what kind of rock or what artists do you like?

you can search and preview songs on iTunes to see what you like before you dl them. or most major music stores have headphones for you to listen to samples.

Well, here are some albums to look for:

ohGr - "Welt"
It's industrial music done electroclash style with a metal attitude. So it rocks. Water and Minus are great.

Mellowdrone - an example of intellectual property
An EP with only 6 songs, mostly slowy's, total indie rock, yet good. Really really good. You can get the whole thing for free at http://www.mellowdrone.com

Foetus is always good. The two Scraping Foetus Off The Wheel albums are very well-rounded and listenable. The Wiseblood stuff is a bit more hit-and-miss, but still good.

And of course, everyone loves Monster Magnet. They just put out a greatest hits (which was mostly just newer stuff) that you should pick up.
